Care does not end when the school day stops. NRCA’s Aftercare ministry ensures each student has a safe, enjoyable time with friends and teaches students to be faithful in serving Christ. “At Aftercare, staff ask the students, ‘Are you being F.I.S.H?’”

Combining their love of basketball with compassion for community members struggling with food insecurity, NRCA juniors Carr Jennings and his friends Jeremiah Adeyanju, Charles Eyster, and Asher Perry decided to serve together.

On Monday, Aug. 17, Flo Blue was the color of the day for NRCA teachers, staff, and administrators. From sidewalks and hallways to classrooms and gathering spaces, the bright “Be Transformed” shirts stood out wherever students looked.

Seniors in Mrs. Kristi Stott’s AP and Honors Environmental Science classes recently turned a classroom project into award-winning art to raise awareness about local environmental issues.

North Raleigh Christian Academy celebrated spring Signing Day on May 13, adding five student-athletes to the list of Knights who will compete at the collegiate level next year. Representing four different sports and attending schools in and out of state, these athletes will have opportunities to live out the values of faith, leadership, and service they have learned as part of NRCA Athletics.

“It was an elementary and middle school all-levels clinic that was supposed to encourage young athletes to come try out softball and see how fun it was,” Harrison said. The clinic was open to NRCA girls in second through eighth grade.

Sunshine and smiles filled the Senior Parade route as the Class of 2026 circled the campus in celebration of their final month of high school and all the years that came before. From PreK through the junior class, NRCA students and teachers, along with staff and parents, lined the sidewalk, waving and cheering.

This year, NRCA had the privilege of celebrating an exciting new national recognition initiative from ACT called the PreACT Rising Stars Program.

As we enter into the Easter season, this familiar call and response will likely be something each of us hear as we step into spaces alongside believers. The response is almost instinctual for many of us as we recognize that the natural flow of our calendar has brought us back to this time of year – where we remember the work that Jesus accomplished on the cross and celebrate together the resurrection of our Savior.

First is the word of the year for NRCA seniors Eddie Kubiak and Tully Martinez. The duo was part of the first-ever countywide student chapter of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the first countywide student chapter to win the NAHB Student Competition, and the first student team ever to win the competition in their first year.

On Sunday, March 1, NRCA seniors departed for the snowy elevations of Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia. The group of around 20 seniors gathered their coats and boots to hit the slopes.

Juniors in Mrs. Melanie Waite’s precalculus class combined math with art to create sculptures and 3D models that displayed precalculus concepts in a tangible and personal way. Students used the unit circle to map out their structures. The project provided an avenue for students to see how creativity meshes seamlessly with calculations in their own creations, as well as God’s creation.

On Feb. 14, 2026, North Raleigh Christian Academy senior Carson Caster walked off the mats of the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association State Wrestling Tournament as the 2026 NCISAA champion of the 113-pound weight class.

Olivia Bangs, a senior at NRCA, won the Division I state championship in the girls shot put at the NCRunners Independent Schools Indoor Championships on Feb. 9, throwing a winning distance of 31-1.25.

What started as an idea for a high school club has quickly become a place where future entrepreneurs are learning to transform passion into action.
