NRCA’s annual Golf Classic will be on Monday, May 3, 2027. We invite you to consider how you can participate in this event. You can choose to sign up as a golfer, sponsor a golfer, or become a hole sponsor. We offer two levels of sponsorship: premium and standard, each with various benefits for you or your company. Watch for information in NRCA’s weekly News Blasts at the first of the year.

Day of Event Information
All par 5 and par 3 holes are contest holes where players can win prizes or gift cards. Only the FIRST ball played by each player counts toward any contest. No mulligans, throws, or use of pink tees from the mulligan advantages may be used to win a contest hole. Mulligans, throws, and pink tees can improve your score but cannot be used to win contest hole prizes. There are several opportunities to win a prize or a gift card. NOTE: Each golfer is eligible to win only ONE gift card. This qualification applies to gift cards only and NOT hole-in-one prizes. If a golfer earns a second gift card, that gift card will go to the golfer the next closest to the pin or with the next longest drive.
There will be two Grand Champions: Gross Score Grand Champion and Net Score Grand Champion. Grand Champions will be followed by Second- and Third-Place Gross Score and Second- and Third-Place Net Score winners. Net score is the team’s gross score minus an average of the team members’ handicaps. The maximum handicap for any player is 30.
Golfers will tee off from the No. 3 tee box. Senior golfers (60+) will tee off from the No. 4 tee box on ALL par 4 and par 5 holes, but everyone MUST use the No. 3 tee box for ALL par 3 prize holes.
The par 3s are contest holes. First, if you sink a hole-in-one, you have WON a major prize. Second, there is a “closest to the pin” prize on par 3s from the tee. NOTE: No mulligan bag advantages may be used to win a par 3 hole-in-one prize.
Teams will have each golfer try to sink a putt from 20 feet on the practice putting green; the total combined distances from the hole of missed putts will be added together for the team’s score. The team with the lowest score will have each golfer attempt a 50-foot putt on the practice putting green for a chance to win $5,000 to each golfer who sinks their 50-foot putt.
Mulligan bags will be sold at the sign-in/registration table for $30 each (or $100 per foursome) and contain golfer advantages that include the following: a mulligan card, a throw card, and a pink tee. These advantages can be used on the golf course to improve your team’s overall gross/net score. Up to FOUR mulligan bags may be purchased for each team.
Players may improve the lie of their balls in the fairway, hazard, or rough. However, the ball may not be moved more than one club length and no closer to the hole. Flagpoles should remain in the holes at all times, including putting.
Follow all course rules (out of bounds, etc.), and use soft spikes.
Play all 18 holes in the order of your scheduled first tee box (shotgun start). One-over-par (bogey) is the maximum score for any given hole. Once a bogey is reached, please pick up golf balls and move to the next tee box. There should be no “playing through.”
At the end of the tournament, please proceed to the clubhouse. Scorecards should be given to a pro upon completion of the course. Each team will use a “live scoring” app to score the team after EACH hole.
Upon completing the round, each player should pick up their golfer “thank you” gift prior to leaving the course. NRCA will send out a follow up communication after the Golf Classic announcing the Grand Prize (First-Place)Team, Gross and Net Grand Champions, Gross and Net Second- and Third-Place Teams, and all hole-contest winners.
