Spiritual Emphasis Week

Each year, NRCA hosts Spiritual Emphasis Week to provide an opportunity for our students and families to worship and grow together in our faith. Over these three days, students attend Chapel services during the school day and have the opportunity to attend evening services on Monday and Tuesday night. Question 2

See You at the Pole

See You at the Pole is an opportunity each year for students, staff, and parents to come together at the flagpole in front of our school building. During this time, we come together and worship through song and lift up our nation, school, and surrounding community in prayer.

Family Fun Knight

NRCA partners with Galaxy Fun Park each year to host our Family Fun Knight. This event takes place in the fall and provides an opportunity for all students to enjoy a night of fellowship and all the rides and activities that Galaxy Fun Park has to offer.

Homecoming

NRCA’s Homecoming is one of our most anticipated annual weekends. In addition to the varsity football game, students and families are able to enjoy a variety of bounce houses, games, and concessions throughout the evening.

Founders Day

On the Saturday of Homecoming Weekend, NRCA hosts our annual Founders Day Fall Festival at our outdoor athletic complex. This event includes access to bounce houses, carnival games and prizes, and a rock wall. Families are invited to come with their own lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy the beautiful weather and games together.

Powderpuff

On Saturday evening of Homecoming Weekend, NRCA’s annual Junior vs. Senior Powderpuff game caps off the festivities. Families and students are all invited to come and enjoy this great tradition.

Knights Cafe

Every Wednesday afternoon from 3:05-4:15 pm, NRCA hosts our weekly Knights Cafe in the Student Life Center. During this time, students are able to purchase candy and sodas while also enjoying all the Student Life Center has to offer. This is a great time to play games, meet in discipleship groups, or hang out with friends.

Staff vs. Students Basketball Game

Our annual Staff vs. Students basketball game is one of our most exciting community events during the school year. NRCA’s staff members come together to take on a team of senior students coached by the senior varsity basketball players. This night also serves as a fundraiser to help support annual NRCA mission trips.

Christmas Tree Lighting

To kick off the Christmas season, NRCA hosts our annual Christmas Tree Lighting on the front lawn of the main building. During this time, our families gather to sing, share stories, and read Scripture as we look forward to celebrating the birth of our Lord.

Valograms

Accepted Answer

One of NRCA’s favorite schoolwide traditions is Valograms. During this time, our seniors raise money for their Senior Trip by selling candy, flowers, and songs. On Valograms Day, our entire senior class goes around singing songs to students throughout kindergarten through 11th grade.

Senior Parade

NRCA’s Senior Week is a celebration like no other. One of the community traditions of Senior Week is our annual Senior Parade, during which the school comes outside to enjoy the cars decorated by each senior homeroom according to their theme. Elementary students line the sidewalks with posters and cheers as the cars circle the campus, showing their different decorations.

Boosterthon

NRCA’s annual fundraising event partners with Boosterthon each spring. While fundraising is an aspect of this time of year, our ultimate purpose is to foster community through building excitement of shared memories together. Our elementary students raise money during this season and end with a Fun Run/Obstacle Course Run. Middle school students enjoy the end of their Boosterthon season with the celebration of a Color Run.

Blacklight Dodgeball

NRCA’s annual Blacklight Dodgeball Tournament is our high school fundraiser in the Spring. Students participate in the tournament on the Wednesday prior to Easter break and are able to purchase incentives to help give their team an edge in the competition.
