These are the inclement and adverse weather policies, as found on page 17 of the Student Handbook. Announcements regarding closings, delays, and early dismissals will also be posted on the NRCA web site.
Inclement Weather Closings:
NRCA will follow Wake County Public Schools in school delays and closings. Announcments can be heard on WRAL (5), WTVD (11), and WPTF (680AM). Parents may call the school's inclement weather line at 573-7999. Follow the prompts for needed information.
Inclement Weather Early Dismissals:
In the event inclement weather necessitates the closing of school before the end of the regular school day, the following procedure will be followed:
1. The decision will be made by the Administration.
2. Faculty will be notified immediately.
3. Local radio/TV stations will be notified.
4. The information will be placed on the school's inclement weather line (573-7999) and web site.
5. Student drivers will be dismissed.
6. Students arriving with a driver in the morning may leave with that driver.
7. Alternate pickup of students may be arranged by parents calling the office.
