Student ActivitiesStudent Led Prayer Groups Students meet together for prayer prior to the opening of each school day. Student Council Representatives are selected from each class in Grades 6-12 for the Student Council. Athletics Full range of sports for boys and girls including soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, track, cross-country, tennis, golf, and cheerleading. Fine Arts Full range of opportunities for boys and girls including band, drama, choir, ensemble, newspaper, yearbook, productions, piano, and speech. Honor Society Each spring students are inducted into the National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society. Junior/Senior Banquet The Junior Class hosts a formal banquet for the Senior Class. Community Service Each year students of all ages take part in service projects for several organizations including Samaritan's Purse, House of Hope, and the Raleigh Rescue Mission. |
Student AwardsAcademic Honor Rolls, Departmental Awards, Outstanding Student Awards, Beta Club, Graduation Recognition8th Grade Principal's Cup, Presidential Fitness Awards Timothy Awards Middle & High School boy and girl from each class who are examples in speech, faith, conduct, and purity Junior Marshalls Ten high achievers from the Junior class are chosen to assist in Graduation Ceremonies Duke Talent Program 7th grade students who score at or above the 97 percentile on a national standardized achievement test qualify Senior Graduation Recognition Gold honors cords, Gold honors stoles, Gold tassels, Silver service cords, Gold Honors medallions, Gold High Honors medallions, Gold Honor Medals, Senior Scholarship Medallions, Senior Superlative certificates, Academic awards, sports awards, fine arts medallions, leadership awards, service awards, character awards are given at Graduation Other Awards Additional Sports & Fine-Arts awards, ACSI Distinguished Students, Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Barnabas, along with the special Mr. and Miss NRCA are other awards given |
Student TripsField Trips Throughout the school year field trips are planned to visit places of educational interestSport Competitions Athletic teams travel to games and competitions Fine Arts Performances Performing teams may travel to malls or other places to perform. In addition, groups travel for retreats and competitions Jr/Sr Retreat Each fall, Jr/Sr classes travel for a weekend rafting and leadership training event Winter Ski Getaway Each winter, students travel to a spiritual renewal time accompanied by skiing and fellowship Senior Trip Each year, the senior class will raise funds for their senior trip. Seniors travel to Europe for 10 days on their senior trip. ACSI Middle School Leadership Conference Teachers select leaders from grades 6-8 to attend this trip for encouraging and training student leaders ACSI High School Leadership Conference Teachers select leaders from grades 9-12 to attend this trip for encouraging and training student leaders |
