Volunteer
Applications
Just a reminder that all volunteer applications must be received and approved
annually. If you did not turn in your volunteer application with your
enrollment forms, and you plan to volunteer for the 08-09 school year,
please turn those in as soon as possible. You may drop your information
off in the front office at your earliest convenience.
School Pictures
K-11th grades will be taking school pictures on Tuesday, August 26th.
Order forms will be given out in homeroom. Seniors will
not need to order these pictures as the seniors will be photographed in
tuxedos and drapes for the school composite picture. Lifetouch is not
making the tuxedo and drape pictures available for purchase.
Campbell
Soup Labels
We
would like to say a big THANKS to all of you who sent in your Campbell
Soup Labels. The elementary teachers were able to order some wonderful
items for their classrooms. The PVA will continue to collect the labels
but note their is a change. You can send in the UPC code and the labels
for education symbol found with the code but front labels are
no longer accepted.

Parent
Fundraising Meeting
There will be an important fundraising meeting for all parents
of 9th-11th graders on Monday, August 25th at 7:00 pm in the Fine Arts
Center.
Medication Form Update
There has been a slight change in our medication procedure. Any
medication to be given by the nurse must be prescribed by a licensed health
care provider. This includes any over the counter medications.
On the medication form you will find a place for your physicians signature.
Please know that I am unable to administer any medication without the
physician's signature. For more information please fee

Victory Mission Association Cell Phone Drive
VMA is collecting any new and old cell phones that work. They
will be collecting them through October 2008. They are also shipping a
container to Liberia in November 2008. Please visit their website

Fall Sports Parent Meeting
When: Thursday, August 21st @ 7:00 pm
Where: Fine Arts Center
If your student will be playing a fall sport at least one parent must
attend this meeting.
Knights Wear
If you did not have an opportunity to purchase your Knight's Wear click
below for an order form, complete it and turn it into Mrs. Dial with
your check.
*Spring Musical Auditions*
Auditions for the spring musical The Music Man
will be held in the Fine Arts Center at 3:15 pm on
Thursday, August 28th for Dance and Vocal (mandatory for all parts), and
Friday, August 29th for all main and speaking roles. Auditions are open
to all 5th-12th grade students. Audition
forms and packets will be available from Mrs. Sanderlin in the
lobby after lunch on Monday. If students are involved in a fall sport,
special auditions will be held. Please see
Mr. Green for special consideration.
The fall production of Frank Capra's It's A Wonderful Life
will be presented on November 13-15, 2008.
Tickets will go on sale the second week of September.
Class
of 1998
The Class of 1998 had their 10 year reunion in June at the Cardinal Club
in downtown Raleigh. It was a great time fellowship and reminiscing.
