Well, tonight may be our last update, as today was our last full day of ministry. Where I come from, they would say “it was a doosey”. The day started off by doing lots and lots of work at the church. We finished painting, scrubbing floors, and bathrooms. While teams were getting to work doing those things, another group went out to the park to play soccer with some kids and witness to them. Another group was busy making almost 500 sandwiches for the homeless. This morning we took up a collection and bought about 15 lbs of bologna and 15 lbs of cheese! Forty loaves of bread and one hundred liters of tang. We were prepared to feed an army… and we did! After lunch we went back to the church, finished up some work and waited out the rain. When the rain stopped we went down town and did what Jesus did. We fed their stomachs and their spirits. We gave the food, drink, and the gospel…what better combination!

Tomorrow we go to the church that we have been helping all week, then we head off to the beach! The kids have earned their reward. They have been a hard working crew. We’ll be at the beach until Monday afternoon, and then return to do a little more street evangelism. We’ll rap up the week with a de-briefing of sorts. We’ll have a meeting and give everyone a chance to share what God has been doing in their lives this week. This is the most meaningful time for me, because I hear it from them. Pray for us as we finish up the week and get ready for some beach time tomorrow!
