- 12th Annual FAFSA Day
- CFNC and the State Employees' Credit Union is sponsoring the 12th Annual FAFSA Day on Saturday, February 18, 2012. This is a free service to assist families in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Form. Students will not receive federal aid for college unless they have completed the FAFSA Form. Go to CFNC.org/fafsaday for a listing of times and locations.

- NRCA requires all Seniors to take the ACT and receive a minimum score of 16 to graduate. We do not require the writing portion of the ACT. However, most colleges will not accept ACT scores without the writing portion.

- Cappex Scholarship Opportunity
- ECU Maynard Scholarship
- ECU is still accepting applications for the ECU Maynard Scholarship. The ECU Maynard Scholars Program is modeled after the NC Teaching Fellows program and provides a leadership component and $20,000 over four years for pre-service educators living in one of the 50 identified counties. We are encouraging all interested Seniors to apply as soon as possible. The posted deadline is Friday, January 27, but we will accept applications through the end of next week.

- The Raleigh Mayor’s Committee for Persons with Disabilities will award two $1000 scholarships to students with documented disabilities. You must be a senior and a resident of the city of Raleigh to apply. Click here for the application. The deadline for this application is May 31, 2012.
- Hugh Morson Memorial Scholarship
- If you are a Senior and a resident of the City of Raleigh, you may apply to the Hugh Morson Memorial Scholarship. Deadline for applications is March 5, 2012. Apply online at www.csascholars.org.
- The Art Institutes
- Fashion Scholarship - half-tuition scholarship at an Art Institutes school - entries due by January 30, 2012
- Best Teen Chef Competition - First Place Winner receives $4,000 scholarship - entries due by February 3, 2012

- Bridgewater College
- Bridgewater College in Bridgewater, VA is offering a North Carolina resident scholarship in addition to its merit scholarship program. Contact Julie Huffman, Admissions Counselor at Bridgewater, at jhuffman@bridgewater.edu for more information. For those interested in an equestrian riding program, Bridgewater has an outstanding program and facilities.
- Davidson College Bryan Scholars Program
- If you are a senior who is a participant in one of the following sports, with an outstanding academic record, you may be eligible for the Davidson College Bryan Scholarship (valued at $30,000 annually). Please see Mrs. Monahan for more information.
